Laura Gardner Longo is an Emmy nominated producer who has worked in the entertainment industry for over a decade. She began her career working in the motion picture literary department at CAA, where she once asked Mick Jagger to  ”please hold.” Laura then worked as development executive across film and television for Oscar winner Steve Zaillian at his company Film Rites. She consumed countless manuscripts, pilots, and formats for potential adaptation before heading to NY to shoot the HBO’s mini-series The Night Of. After Film Rites Laura became a producer, manager, and partner at The Mission Entertainment, a company defined by its dedication to representing diverse voices. While at The Mission, Laura produced HBO documentary Being Mary Tyler Moore, an excavation of the life and career of one of Hollywood’s most influential women. She also represented a bevy of talented clients across the film, television, and theater space.

Laura is a graduate of UCLA’s Theater Film and Television program and recently received her MA in Cinema and Media Studies from USC with a focus on entertainment journalism. While at USC, she wrote for USC’s journal for film and television criticismSpectator and for the online publication Ampersand. A born Angeleno, Laura lives in Silver Lake with a slew of boys (husband, two sons) and one female comrade (Moxie, the bernedoodle). She is interested in how film and television shape our collective culture, and hopes you are too.
